Prada Galleria–Italian label Prada celebrates its origins with a renewed interest in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. In 1913, Mario Prada opened the label’s first shop there. Celebrating the centennial, Prada is refocusing its energy on a new Prada Galleria, which will house a new sales space, event space, the Foundazione Prada and the Prada Group headquarters. Renovations begin on the Galleria this month with special care being taken to preserve the building’s historic qualities.
