Instilling in their garments, a life of their own, the latest collection from Mjölk tugs at the heart strings with a sentimental story of generations. From oversized, exaggerated proportions to the perfect fit, Mjölk’s man grows into his wardrobe. A chronicle representation of life from adolescence to adulthood, the collection imagines an array of scenarios that may place a small boy in the large coat of his father or follow a young man to the purchase of his first tailored suit or later in life–the relaxed clothes of leisure. Expanding a modest picture into a romantic gesture, the collection takes visual cues from images of Depression-era New York or the beauty of profound poets such as Walt Whitman or E.E. Cummings. Altogether, Mjölk manages to up the ante and pour on the charm with loving knits and suits that wear as a casual second skin.

  1. Questionable choice of model. He has his charms but… he looks a bit too much like a young Prince Charles for me. The clothes are more problematic: it's exactly what you have come to expect from a brand with an ö (or any Northern European brand for that matter). They are minimalist (byword for dull), simplistic (they only look well cut because no effort was made to get a really interesting cut), and following last year's trends. Even Zara does more innovative stuff! It's neither good, nor bad. It just isn't.

  2. No offence Davidikus, but i think you're an idiot.

Lars is brilliant, very clever collection from him, i hope it helps him get even bigger in NY.

  9. No offence. You most certainly have a right to disagree with what I say. (I cannot really see the point of insults, though). I wish Mjölk all the best. Apparently his clothes are sold at Topman – I was not that far off the mark with my Zara comments, I think!

  11. I like the model and think the clothes are really stunning. Where can I find Mjolk in London?

  12. It is my understanding you can find it at topman but you may have to wait for the start of next season… You can also try bstore & I think I saw previous collections (which I found more interesting) at Liberty's (the best shop for men's fashion in London, IMVHO).

  14. David get your facts right mate- Mjolk is NOT stocked at Topman!! They do a designer collaboration with them 'Mjolk for Topman'. PS your little Balmain link was well shot (hello budget!!) but the range was pretty drab it looked like H&Ms last season.. LOL

Overall a great range I think. Are the hats part of the range?

  16. Word Pete!

Davidikus dude IMVHO you are an odd man:

Davidikus :” minimalist (byword for dull)..”
Davidikus: “my blog (which I think IS quite minimalist..”

    ??

The hats are in the range. I love the panelling on them.
    Thanks Carl.

  18. "The (Balmain) range was pretty drab it looked like H&Ms last season.. LOL"
Clearly, either you know nought about fashion or you are part of Mjölk's friends or PR team. Balmain could not look more different than H&M. Balmain is also the brand on everyone's lips!

  22. Oh come now Pete, Balmain like H&M last season? more like H&M 2001! … eek

oops I forgot, 'clearly' if you don't agree with mozzer or davidickus opinions you must be a secret PR spy and know 'nought' about fashion! It's on everyone's lips!

  24. As much as I enjoy the odd catfight- save it guys..seriously.

Methinks the collection is really charming. Wearable but certainly not commercial. Not sure how I feel about the model, he looks a little 'over it' but I am guessing that was the look they were going for. (I hope) Anyway, I dig. Thank you Carl.

  26. Whats wrong with the model?!? I think he has a great "fashion" look. The clothes are great too guys.

  27. I love this model. Has a unique look. You can see him in Academy for Men. Its a online Australian magazine that can be downloaded. He looks completely different in the editorial Brothers. Think he is with Cameron’s in Melbourne???
