Earlier this month, we learned about DNA model, Charlie Westerberg’s introduction to the fashion world at the age of fifteen. Before moving on to Charlie’s unique sense of style and life on the runway, we catch up with the 18 year-old model for a set of questions and answers that deliver a rather candid youth that proves to have quite the infectious personality.
What was your first shoot?
Charlie: For Cosmopolitan magazine. LOL. We listened to Jimi Hendrix and a hot girl sat on my lap. It was a blast. I also remember that they had breakfast, but I ate before I came, so I didn’t eat it.
If your friends had to describe you in adjectives, what would they say?
Charlie: Wonderful, amazing, fantastic, gorgeous, cool, funny…douchebaaaaaggg!
What did you think of fashion before modeling?
Charlie: Didn’t think too much of it when I was fourteen. The only thing I had on my mind at that time was jerking off and James Bond.
Most models have dedicated fans who stalk online forums, blogs, etc. for news and discussion. Are you aware?
Charlie: Very aware, and I find it interesting, but when I think of how many hours of my life I’ve spent on video-game-forums growing up, it doesn’t surprise me. It’s pretty much the same phenomena.
Outside modeling, what do you like to do?
Charlie: Playing hardcore/grind/crust/punk with my friends is always fun, although it sounds more like shit.
Any upcoming work?
Charlie: I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you…
