Before the spring 2007 show season got underway, Julian Hennig received a strange message on Myspace. He had been contacted by Singapore-based photographer Skye Tan, who inquired about him getting into modeling. Julian did not take him seriously, but after continued suggestions, he finally caved in and went to visit Berlin agency Viva. Not considering himself right for modeling, Julian was unsure of himself, but he was quickly signed, flown into Paris three days later for fashion week and the rest is history. From a debut at Yves Saint Laurent to the coveted opening spot at Hedi Slimane’s Dior show, Julian kicked his career off with a bang, going on to become a familiar face, known for his numerous campaign appearances for Prada as well as D&G. This month, we will be getting to know more about the German model as we dig into his experiences, past and present.
