Do you have any fond memories from working with a specific photographer?
Julian Hennig: I shot a very arty editorial with Mariano Vivanco and Nicola Formichetti just a few months after I began modeling and I think the work turned out great and is very different from everything else I’ve shot. But the same goes for a lot of the other great photographers I had the opportunity to work with, Mario Testino, Steven Meisel and Terry Richardson in particular.
If you could do anything career wise, what would you do?
Julian Hennig: I have never done shows in New York because I don’t agree with many designers only doing “trade” instead of actually paying a salary. Loving New York as a city so much makes me wonder if I shouldn’t do at least one season just for the experience of a show season there.

How was your time as a D&G boy?
Julian Hennig: A lot of fun. It felt good to not only be the “Prada boy” anymore (though that was a ton of fun, too). Working with Mario Testino was always hilarious and we shot at some very neat locations such as a ruin in Berlin, a very stately home/park in south England and best of all on a yacht on the Seine cruising through Paris.
What do you see yourself doing in the future if you could do anything?
Julian Hennig: I am starting to grow fond of the idea to continue working within the fashion industry later on. Outside of fashion world, I could imagine working in Brazil at some point and start my own business because I see many business opportunities there (with Brazil being one of the fastest growing economies in the world).
