With the beginning of runway season a couple days away, Lyle Lodwick gives us insight into the whole casting process, which just happened to have landed him in a friendly competition with fellow model Will Lewis last time around. While Lyle happens to be a champion of the runway, Will does well with bookings and after a close race, despite Lyle “doing looks for Varvatos and walking almost every show”, Will claimed victory with his Vogele campaign. Not coming up short, Lyle walked so many shows, it’s difficult to recall them. While walking the catwalk is in Lyle’s opinion, the easiest part, he loves the preparation going into the shows. Arriving a week early, Lyle explains the process as not much sleep and at least eight appointments a day, but his favorite part of the job is doing looks. Related as a timeframe “where the design team and stylist choose which pieces from the collection will actually be in the show”, Lyle enjoys witnessing the creative process and possibly seeing and wearing pieces that will never go into production.
Did you interview them or was this from an article. I like seeing models hang out, it sucks to see them put on such a high pedestal sometimes.
