Tina Chang first met Taylor Fuchs back in 2007, at the start of his modeling career. From what she recalls, Taylor “was in his first year of university…attending [the] University of Calgary.” Kelly Streit from his mother agency Mode Models had introduced the two. Kelly saw great potential in Taylor “and when Kelly [insists], you go with it…” Tina still remembers her intitial reaction to meeting Taylor. It was early in the morning and he had driven from Saskatchewan to meet her in the parking lot of her flat. “He stepped out of his truck with his baseball cap on. It was a cold morning. [Tina] tried not to stare, but could not help [but] notice how beautiful [the] guy was. From there [she] understood what all the fuzz [was] about.”
Much like David Roemer, Tina remarked on Taylor’s presence. He was still fresh and new, but his incredible look was undeniable. From his haunting stare to contagious smile, Tina expressed the sentiment of finding it impossible not to be drawn to Taylor. “Nickol Walkemeyer, the make-up artist, could not help [but] voice how beautiful Taylor was throughout the day. And indeed she was right. But beyond his beauty, he’s a wonderful and thoughtful guy. He was a bit shy but never complained once at the photo shoot. It was a long day. We spent lots of time with him. We had lots of giggles that day. I remember [our stylist] Malorie Urbanovitch asked Taylor to try on a pair of burgundy women’s tight for one of the looks. He looked at it and had no idea what to do with it. But he never questioned or refused to put them on. And after the long day of shooting, we all went to a local cafe and hung out. We did our edits while we ate.”
Having picked up more modeling experience on set, it was not long until Taylor packed his bags and moved to New York. However, to this day, Tina and Taylor keep touch over email and Facebook. “He will drop [Tina] an email out of the blue to see how [she is] doing. And likewise. He is truly special.”
This guy certainly has the looks – & the photography makes him even more gorgeous. It would be great to see him smile, though!
