From a Ferragamo-clad sidewalk moment with Michael B. Jordan to Timothée Chalamet flexing in GapStudio, this edition of The Brief captures fashion’s sharpest turns. New drops from Moncler x Mercedes-Benz by NIGO, GU x rokh, and MYKITA x RIMOWA spotlight the power of collaboration and design.

Moncler Genius shifts gears with its latest collaboration: a triple-branded drop with Mercedes-Benz and NIGO. Titled “The City of Genius,” the collection fuses utilitarian silhouettes with NIGO’s visual language, drawing on 80s–90s nostalgia and automotive heritage.

Puffer jackets in traffic-stopping orange, embroidered sweats, and utility-heavy denim play against a custom G-Wagon—topped with its own quilted roof for good measure. It’s futurism filtered through the past, made wearable by way of alpine tech and a Tokyo-cool attitude.

Michael B. Jordan Powers Through NYC

An espresso shot of motion, Michael B. Jordan hit the streets of New York in a full Ferragamo look from the spring-summer 2025 collection, styled by Jason Bolden.

The actor layered a grainy lambskin leather short trench over a water-repellent, dark espresso silk zip jacket and joggers in the same tone—more Matrix via Milan than athleisure. The appearance follows his recent starring role in David Yurman’s spring 2025 campaign, where gold and waterfront views took center stage.

GU and rokh return for round two—this time with menswear in the mix. The spring-summer 2025 collaboration, titled “Play in Style,” marks the debut of rokh’s menswear through Uniqlo’s edgier sibling.

The capsule leans into fluid silhouettes and softened tailoring, offering wide-leg crops, hybrid shirting, and preppy-striped knit socks layered into something that feels both London street and Tokyo gallery. It’s a shift from quiet tailoring to modular play—with a mushroom prop to drive the point home.

Udo Kier Lends His Stare to MYKITA x RIMOWA

MYKITA and RIMOWA have teamed up for their first eyewear collaboration, blending Berlin’s high-concept optical engineering with Cologne’s legacy of travel-proof design. The capsule, handcrafted at MYKITA HAUS, features the HERITAGE series—a trio of panto, square, and aviator silhouettes cut from stainless steel and anodized aluminum.

Udo Kier, in a casting move as sharp as the frames themselves, anchors the campaign with his signature glare and sartorial cool.

Timothée Chalamet Spotlights GapStudio

Gap’s new premium line, GapStudio, made its mark with Collection 01 designed by Zac Posen. Built inside the brand’s New York HQ, the capsule focuses on elevated craftsmanship and reimagined American staples.

Timothée Chalamet recently wore the satin Icon jacket and ’90s Loose pants to the Academy Awards nominee dinner—a subtle flex that hints at the label’s fashion potential beyond the basics.
