Burberry celebrates its latest men’s fragrance, Mr. Burberry by collaborating with Oscar-winning British director Steve McQueen. Coupling up for McQueen’s steamy short film, actor and musician Josh Whitehouse comes together with Amber Anderson to the soundtrack of I Won’t Complain’ by Benjamin Clementine. Tapping into the fragrance’s initial inspiration, Whitehouse is pictured in a black trench coat. Embracing a modern, young attitude as a stylish Burberry man, Whitehouse was shot in London for the special occasion.

Working with Burberry chief creative and chief executive officer Christopher Bailey for the outing, McQueen shares, “Christopher is a unique human being and a real collaborator. His enthusiasm is infectious and that’s what attracted me into working with him on this project.” Dishing on the provocative nature of the short film, the director continues, “I wanted to convey the idea of two people who are passionately in love with each other, and go off on a dirty weekend. It’s that moment in a relationship where all you are thinking about is each other, and all you want is to be with each other.”
Explaining how Mr. Burberry fits in the fashion house’s sartorial world, Bailey says, “Mr. Burberry is our most significant men’s fragrance to date. Inspired by the iconic Burberry trench coat and by London, a city of great contrasts and contradictions.” The designer adds, “It is traditional yet irreverent, elegant without being pristine. It perfectly encapsulates a mood and an attitude that today’s Burberry man will recognize as his own.”
