From Down Under–Nicola Formichetti and Romain Kremer take Mugler under for an aquatic venture for the spring/summer 2013 season. Focusing more on tailoring this season, lending the range a more ready to wear approach, suiting becomes the focus as a core piece to explore. Honing in on color, finish and cut, the mainstay is pulled into the stylized world of Formichetti. Creating head to toe looks, Kremer’s hand in cut-outs is obvious as jackets and shirts are pulled and tucked for a skin reveal that may not be hitting your average street anytime soon. On the flip side, however, pieces executed with a more minimal eye are a delightful twist on the classics with a lined parka in clean white, a printed jacket or a beefed up sleeveless tee.
