From early talent scout to casting director, Daniel Peddle has distinguished himself as one of New York’s premier casting directors. Exploring concepts of beauty on the international stage, Peddle has found a creative medium in the painting. Creating watercolors based on backstage images, Peddle offers the model up as a sacrificial lamb. Left to the mercy of the industry to fit demanding images given to the alter or runway, Peddle captures the behind the scenes chaos, whether it is Jethro Cave making an ugly face or Simon Nessman getting those final touchups. A selection of Peddle’s work is being housed for an installation at Envoy Enterprises, beginning March 16, 2010 at 6:00 P.M.
