American GQ puts the spotlight on up and coming fashion brand OAMC with a feature lensed by photographer Dan Martensen. Model Yuri Pleskun stars in the outing, wearing pieces from OAMC’s fall-winter 2015 collection, styled by Angelo Baque.
Former head designer for Supreme, OAMC creative director Luke Meier sits down with GQ to discuss the brand’s manufacturing process. Meier talks about working with Italian factories to get the best products imaginable, sharing, “I will spend a lot of time convincing these guys who have been making something a certain way for decades to try something new.”
Describing his point of view as a designer and how that shapes OAMC, Meier explains, “OAMC is for me, an opportunity to fill this desire I have to make things that I want. And what I want has a North American slant, because that’s who I am and my style. But to mix that with the high-end stuff you find in Japan and Europe.” Shop OAMC at SSENSE.com.
