Parajumpers sets great expectations with its spring-summer 2016 men’s collection. The Italian label unveils four collaborations. Designed in partnership with Parajumpers creative director Massimo Rossetti, Japanese designer Yoshinoro Ono, Korean designer Heesung Choi and Italian designer Gionata Malagodi bring their point of view to the brand’s utilitarian outerwear. Discussing the season at heart, Rossetti shares, “We always aim to explore different horizons, and therefore we like to opt for collaborations you wouldn’t expect from a premium outerwear brand.”
Rossetti and Ono join creative forces, combining heritage with a contemporary flair for the Superlight Evolution capsule collection. The ultra light down outerwear includes colorblocked styles with a 90/10 down fill. Bringing innovation to the range as a past collaborator, Ono’s Kegen jacket includes sport and tech elements that come together with the perfect marriage, aided by waterproof fabric, a detachable mesh lining for insulation and breathability as well as polyurethane inserts.
Designer Gionata Malagodi brings a military influence to Parajumper’s brand-new Airship series. Created exclusively for men, the range revolves around reversible bi-colored jackets that take their inspiration from the air force. While the outside of the jacket embraces a relaxed, rugged look, the inside is more detailed with satin and poplin, finished with contrasting stitches and tapes.
Rounding out its versatile offering for spring, Parajumpers offers several more hero pieces throughout its various ranges. In addition to standout outerwear such as the brand’s Brigadier Leather Military Bomber Jacket and Masterpiece Series Ground Field Safari Blazer, Parajumpers also champions casual wear with pieces like its Basic Cotton Fleece Series Caleb Sweatshirt.
