Sir Paul Smith has a new, fresh vision in mind for his namesake label Paul Smith. WWD reports that former head of men’s designer Simon Homes will be stepping up to the plate as creative director. The appointment will free up Smith to spend more time on creative projects and other endeavors, while still handling business as usual. Smith reassures, “I’m not going anywhere. Simon’s appointment is about a new energy within the company, really. That’s the idea. We’re good mates, we get on. It’s an acknowledgement from me to say thank you for his hard work and good energy.”
