The diversity and in rare cases eccentricity found in beauty and the transformation of those ideals inspired Petar Petrov’s latest collection. Embodied in the strong personality of his casting, the spring collection represents a natural fluidity. The range does not rely on gimmicks, but builds on an easygoing sense of character. Light and airy, sheer neutral based tanks represent an innocence and feeling of bareness that stands in great contrast to the collection’s darker, more intense pieces. Safety and grim solace are found in Petrov’s monochromatic black garments, while a bold and fiery passion is brought to the surface with the collection’s red trousers and infrequent splatters of blood. Despite Petrov’s use of black and red, attention is often drawn back to the collection’s most honest pieces–the heavenly mix of white, light gray, aqua and green. It is in those pieces that Petrov’s desire to capture beauty at ease is best achieved. At large, Petar Petrov’s efforts result in an intelligent collection that provides the natural silhouette, while the admirer is suited with the task of interjecting into it their own identity.
