I had the great pleasure of receiving pictures and a couple answers from Antoine about the latest Pete Versus Toby collection.
Pete Versus Toby serves up the usual excellent mix of quirk and exaggerated proportion in their new collection, “Flying Without Wings” set to hit stores in September. Tanks or tees, Antoine and Paschal, the team behind Pete Versus Toby, have you covered.
Pete Verus Toby was started after Paschal “started printing a few shirts for himself at another friend’s screen print factory.” After his shirts received compliments, Paschal decided to sell his shirts at the Bondi Markets. The rest is history.
Looking up to people who do what they want “without worrying about the shackles of society”, Pete Verus Toby is quickly blowing up on the Australian scene. Collections are inspired by “many and varied sources.” Carrying on with their philosophy against the “shackles of society”, the upcoming spring 2008/2009 collection is likely to be controversial because of it’s “subtle religious tone.”
The religious tone is anything but subtle, it’s tangible.
I am in love with the prints and the sizing on these shirts. This reminds me of the DIY factor. Very new, very modern, very exciting. I love the tanks!

“subtle religious tone.”
Maybe that should be followed by a wink. Ha.
