Adam Lambert is Winq’s June/July 2016 cover star. The Ghost Town singer is snapped by photographer Rankin for the occasion. Talking to the magazine about working with Steve Aoki on his song Can’t Go Home, Lambert shares, “I got into the studio with Steve and he was so cool, so kind. There was really good energy, and he gave me a lot of freedom and said, ‘Just go for it.’ I would do a take and be like, ‘Well, what did you think?’, and he’s like ‘Do what you want, man, it sounds cool!'”

The 34 year-old singer explained how working with Aoki was amazing, saying, “For me personally, that’s the best kind of energy to create with, because I can be a little intense, so to have someone balance me out with a carefree energy is really good for me. He created an amazing working environment.”
Discussing gender and sexuality in a modern context, Lambert confides, “I think that it’s really interesting because right now, we’re in a time where we can challenge people’s assumptions. It’s not about the binary of gay and straight, man and woman, black and white–that’s so basic.” The Underground singer continues, “Now, we’re getting into this beautiful time, slowly but surely, where it’s more nuanced than that. The young generation coming up right now are able to experiment and feel comfortable with fluidity and blending it together, and I think that’s gorgeous.” Read more on Winq.com.
