Photographed by Rich Gilligan, Aidan Turner covers the April/May 2015 issue of Cara. Connecting with the magazine, Turner talks about transitioning from his role as the dwarf Kili in The Hobbit to playing the lead in Poldark. The 31 year-old actor shares, “It feels like a natural progression. Coming back from The Hobbit to this feels right and to play a ‘real’ person is a thrill. For a start, you’re number one on the call sheet and you’re in every day of the shoot, pretty much. Doing Poldark was busy, very busy. There is a vastness to the role. Stamina is the thing–it was a six-month shoot last year. That said, the limelight is shared with other lead actors.”
