Bill Skarsgård takes to the California desert for this week’s edition of The Journal from Mr Porter. The luxury retailer calls on photographer Angelo Pennetta for the outdoors shoot. Mr Porter contributing fashion editor Dan May pulls together youthful layers for Skarsgård. The 26-year-old’s wardrobe includes current fashions from brands such as Lanvin and Gucci.
Talking about life in Los Angeles and making a name for himself, Skarsgård confesses, “I like being here for a month or two or three, and then I need to leave.” The Swedish actor explains, “It affects what you value. Acting is a very brutal and unkind industry.”
Skarsgård adds, “It’s a vulnerable job and you constantly have to win the approval of other people, who are judging you not only by your performance, your ability, but also on your looks and how you sound, how tall you are and all these different things. I wouldn’t want my kids to be actors.” Read more on MrPorter.com.
