Jones talks to the magazine about his new gig as a judge on The Voice Kids. He explains, “I was actually asked to do The Voice a few years ago; I was like I’d love to have a go at this just as a mentor, because I always felt that The Voice is a great place to be mentored by people in the industry, instead of someone who thinks they know the industry, do you know what I mean?”
The singer continues, “It’s just with my story and my journey, it felt like a good place to tell it, and especially when they offered me The Voice Kids, I was in 100% because kids, they’re like sponges!” Jones adds, “They listen, and when you mentor them they’re a lot earlier in their ways and they have less desperation; they don’t have any bad habits because they are new to everything, so it’s super exciting for me to be able to mentor that.”
