Dominic Sessa for VMAN
Riding high after his breakout role in the Oscar-nominated “The Holdovers,” Sessa chats with Lizzy Goodman to discuss what’s next. At the time of the VMAN interview, Sessa was in Atlanta, wrapping up filming for “Oh. What. Fun.,” a comedy directed by Michael Showalter and starring Michelle Pfeiffer.
Reflecting on his fast-paced journey, Sessa admits, “I’m just really obsessed with the fact that I’m able to be acting all the time.” The American actor maintains momentum following a well-received debut in “The Holdovers.”
However, Sessa confides, “There’s also that pressure of coming out so hot with something that everybody loves so much…I want to continue to do a good job.”
Beyond acting, Sessa reveals his unexpected dream of pursuing farming. “I’d love to have a house out of the city…maybe go back to school for a degree in farming.” This balance of ambition and humility defines Sessa’s grounded approach to his career and personal aspirations.
With his calm outlook and current slate of projects, Sessa is steadily carving out his path in Hollywood. Whether in front of the camera or behind the scenes, there’s a sense that he’s only just begun.
