Reflecting on his career after appearing in the Angelina Jolie directed film Unbroken, O’Connell responds to how he’s feeling, sharing, “Up and down. Cause I realize what I have to do if I’m going to achieve what I’d like to as an actor. But then I have to be realistic and acknowledge that I’ve already gone further than I could have possibly hoped for back in the day.”

Talking about taking to the stage in the play The Nap, where he plays snooker player Dylan Spokes, the 25 year-old actor confides, “Well, it was an easy decision to make. I live 40 minutes away from Sheffield and it’s not the first time I’ve picked up a snooker cue.” O’Connell continues, “But the longer time’s gone, perhaps within this past year, you realize there’s a criteria. We’re in a business, after all. So [I’ve] just been trying to make sensible, smart choices instead.” Read more on ShortList.com.
