Connecting with GT, Amin-Smith talks about race and sexuality, explaining, “There’s a whole other intersection of LGBT+ youths that aren’t white and must find it harder to imagine their own life trajectory and see people who look like them.” Half Indian, Amin-Smith discusses his own position as a role model sharing, “A few people identify with me as gay. There’s a reassurance and solidarity that comes from that.”
