Shawn Mendes snags a new cover for the September 2017 issue of GQ Italia. Stylist Andrea Tenerani pays a nod to Mendes’ Emporio Armani campaign and dresses him in clothes from the brand. Van Mossevelde+N photographs the studio shoot that features Mendes in suits and casual staples like the t-shirt. Catching up with the magazine, Mendes also discusses moving into a new place.

In a translated quote, Mendes explains, “There is not much to show. I moved four days ago, I only brought a sofa, tv, a mattress and a carpet that had quintals of dust.” The 19-year-old singer jokes, “I reevaluated the fatigue my mom had to do all these years to keep the house clean. Maybe I should go and embrace her for that.”
