Czech tennis player Tomas Berdych connects with Mr Porter for a sports edition of The Journal. A frequent collaborator of H&M, Berdych is no stranger to fashion as he connects with photographer Clément Jolin for a new shoot. Styled by Mr Porter contributing style director Dan May, Berdych tackles modern rifts on classics. Talking about the current state of tennis, Berdych refers to Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, sharing, “What’s more interesting is where the sport is right now, and I would say it’s in an absolutely incredible place. It’s three greats in the same generation and tennis has never had that before.”
Berdych continues, “Those three have made all the others much better players than they would otherwise have been. And then there are others like [Mr Andy] Murray [currently world No.2] and [Mr Stan] Wawrinka [world No.4], and then I’m trying to chase them.” Read more on MrPorter.com.
