Starting Fresh–Following seasons of color and prints, Miuccia Prada’s fall/winter 2012 collection took a darker turn as she explored the power of dress. Hot on the heels of a more reserved vision, Prada insisted on a cleaner palette moving forward, aiming to start afresh. With stripped down silhouettes and a firm grasp on color, her spring/summer 2013 collection took on a sporty quality with minimalist lines taking on retro pieces with a subtle humor. Maintaining a strict uniform, pleated trousers with a contrasting color strip were offered in various tones as boxy t-shirts, dual-colored tanks and oversized jackets made the rounds. Akin to bowling attire and vintage sportswear, think basketball, the new range playfully tested the waters, rounding out an aloof attitude with the ultimate fashion dare – slip-on sandals.
Is it me or did those clothes only look good on the older male models?
