As fashion week in its traditional sense is being revisited by designers, whether it’s going co-ed or season-less, Public School disrupted the flow, showing its spring-summer 2016 men’s collection off calendar. Unveiling their latest designs, Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow created an assembly line, calling for new leaders.

Discussing the idea behind the collection, Chow revealed, “The concept of the show really was just a reflection of the political landscape that’s happening not only here in the states but all around the world.” He explained, “Just this idea of false leaders and false icons that are being built up.” Despite the somber color palette and military-inspired silhouettes, Osborne said backstage, “I feel hopeful.” Giving his final thoughts on the collection, he added, “It’s more about a wake up.”
