Q: What is your fashion background?
A: I used to study at the University of Arts and Design Helsinki. In the beginning I started to study fine arts and then changed to fashion studies.

Q: What style would you classify your line as?
A:
Something between Gothic, hip hop and heavy metal.

Q: What is your everyday wear?
A:
I make clothes for myself. So I only wear clothes from my own collections.

Q: What is the thought process behind your silhouettes?
A:
First project involving fashion I did maybe 7 years ago. Was to make a cloth that defines you in some way. I made a oversized black hooded sweater. So I think it started back then. I have always been into baggy things.

Q: What colors remain a constant to you when designing?
A:
I am into black and white. I am quite a dark person.

Q: Graphically, where do you draw inspiration from?
A:
I had a lot of world end pictures in this fall collection. If you think pictures with Mad Max or Blair Witch Project feeling.

Q: If you had to describe this collection in adjectives, how would you describe it?
A:
Big and black

Q: In the end, what do you hope to accomplish with your line?
A:
Just trying to make new clothes for myself.  If people like it, it is a big bonus for me!

  1. So I just moved to a different state and it has been as hectic as can be. I think finally, I can catch up on my leisure time. I’ve been dying for a fashion fix.
