As Raf Simons’ spring lineup hits stores, the fate of fall’s collection is uncertain. Before Simons hit the catwalk with his fall offering, the designer’s break with licensing partner Futurenet Group was announced and a freeze put on the show’s sale dates. However, with a collection ready to hit the runway, the show progressed as planned. Hitting a collegiate stride, Simons channeled his energies into pieces that exhibited the youthful abandonment that resonated with the designer’s earlier collections. Embracing narrow bodies for knits and sweatshirts, the specific proportions were peppered by an offbeat theme enveloped by the collection’s name, Dead Prince College. A cheeky fusion of tradition and misfits, baggy PVC pants made quite the stir against a playful showing of duffel coats, colored toggles and a continuation of shifted silhouettes. Forever inscribed to the catwalk or by some miracle in stores this fall, Raf Simons’ latest impressed beyond bounds with a certain spontaneity and modern allure.

  1. For years, Runway Magazine has been America’s cultural barometer, putting fashion in the context of the larger world we live in- how we dress, live, socialize; what we eat, listen to, watch; who leads and inspires us.

From its beginnings to today, three central principles have set Runway Magazine apart: a commitment to visual genius, investment in storytelling that puts women at the center of the culture, and a selective, optimistic editorial eye.

Runway Magazine’s story is the story of women, of culture, of what is worth knowing and seeing, of individuality and grace, and of the steady power of earned influence. For millions of women each month, Runway Magazine Inc is the eye of the culture, inspiring and challenging them to see things differently, in both themselves and the world.
