Raf Simons made quite the stir with his spring-summer 2016 menswear collection. Models took to the catwalk, masked in tartan hoods, carrying bags by way of long bulky chains. Pant legs expanded in volume and coats were cut straight. A mix of elongated tartan tops stood out in contrast to shrunken sweaters. A significant takeaway from the collection was one of the season’s big trends–the summer coat. Continuing to play with proportions, lightweight coats boasted the length and comfort of housecoats, encompassing the spirit of a strange but relaxed spring outing.
