Richard James Spring/Summer 2015–Taking its tailored heritage for a history course, Richard James looked to World War II for inspiration this season. In particular, the British soldiers, known as Desert Rats, who served during tours in North Africa, became the focus for spring/summer 2015. Embracing khakis, epaulettes and patch pockets, military standards were adapted for civilian wear. Here, pops of orange, blue, green and other vibrant hues open up the collection to a more whimsical note, but one thing that remains consistent, whether approaching suiting or sportswear is sharp clean lines and precise intentions.
