Rick Owens’ latest collection was inspired by American tourists and none other than seventies porn star Peter Berlin. Presenting a separate oriented collection infused with a mix of denim and leather, this season proves to be less romantic than last, instead refocusing energy on the label’s more edgy attributes. Owens’ signature sheer tops are reinvented with the smart blending of multi-weighted materials. Sleeveless vests make leather spring-ready, while long wool hiking socks add to a rebellious look. On the other hand, asymmetrical tops and halved aprons made for an interesting layering combination when paired with Owens’ take on acid washed denim or his trademark below the knee shorts. Overall Owens’ spring collections adds some interesting pieces to the mix, while still remaining true to his consistent aesthetic.
Nice fashions you’ve created Rick.
Very original and accessable to your audience.
I enjoy the layering and sheer element of your designs.
Would be interested in seeing some tighter, more “maleness~ accentuating”, fitting pants in next years’ collection; if that is something you’d be interested in creating.
Also, so nice you found inspiration through the incredible, incomparably original fashion designs of my friend Peter Berlin.
Clearly, your own unique style and well-made garments hold great merit in and of your own personal style, and that is commendable.
Nice fabrics you select.^^
Best wishes in your endevors.
