Swedish designer Rickard Lindqvist never fails in delivering a charming collection of not only personality, but quality. Inhibiting a space that fuses classic tailoring with both unconventional and standard style directions that challenge the norm, the designer pushes forward with ease and finesse. Next year’s spring season is no different. In a smart cheeky turn, Lindqvist takes contemporary menswear and gives it an update in proportions. The suit is made fresh as cropped trousers rise higher and shirts take the path less traveled–exploring an extreme range of various size as part of a scale-try out project. However, where the collection’s personality really jumps into hyper drive is in its use of floral prints. Inspired by botanist Carl von Linné, the lively floral prints add adventure to conservative suiting, while also resulting in the collection’s most jovial piece–its signature jumpsuit. All in all, Lindqvist rounds out another season providing a well encompassing collection for those who want safe long-term choices as well as the daredevils who crave some form of adventure.
