The Well-Proportioned Times–Robert Geller takes his signature style and reinvents the wheel with a new focus on shape and proportions. Working in leather and mesh as well as a seasoned color palette of subdued hues, Geller gradually transferred the focus from soft tailoring to ensembles with a little edge. From a relaxed double-breasted jacket to a cropped coat or parka with ballooned sleeves, the outerwear did a great deal of the work in a collection where layered shirting took on an easy pacing. Whether it was a button-down with small lapels, a boxy short-sleeved number or a lengthened mesh top, Robert Geller’s latest collection resulted in a spring collection that juxtaposed a modern sophistication with an effortless cool.
