Beach State-Inspired by the photography of Sarah Moon, Robert Geller takes his man to the beach for the spring/summer 2013 season. Contrary to popular images of the beach, Geller’s vision is a dark gritty feat, where a subtle softness meets a hard modernity. Accenting spring’s lineup with leather and rubber, Geller’s signature layers are formed with leggings and long sleeves. Contributing to an extended wardrobe, knitwear is cut wide, shorts are boxy and jackets are cropped. In a collection, where the typical ensemble does not shy away from a waistcoat or blazer, Geller’s most recent foray tackles customary menswear with an attitude that blurs the line between casual and formal, resulting in a modern approach to personal style.
