Following the departure of Peter Dundas, Roberto Cavalli appoints designer Paul Surridge as its new creative director. Surridge’s resume includes a tenure as Z Zegna’s creative director as well as a creative consultant to Acne Studios. Turning his attention to Roberto Cavalli, Surridge is slated to present his debut collection with the brand’s spring-summer 2018 women’s range.

Gian Fiacomo Ferraris on Surridge Appointment
Roberto Cavalli SpA chief executive officer Gian Giacomo Ferraris discusses Surridge’s appointments. Ferraris explains, “I have worked with Paul, and I had the opportunity to appreciate his creative talent as well as his managerial abilities. Paul has a 360-degree vision on brands and branding.”
The executive continues, “He is passionate, mature and an amazing team player. We all believe that he is the ideal candidate to complete our management team and contribute to implement the ambitious development plans for Roberto Cavalli, which we have agreed with our stakeholders.”

Surridge dishes on his new appointment. The English designer shares, “I am honored and proud to carry forward the legacy of this extraordinary Italian house.
