Roberto Cavalli is always at his best when he shows some form of restraint. For his latest endeavor, Cavalli returned to leather and pastels for inspiration. Working leather in and out of unforgiving laser-cut pants and edgy snug jackets, barely there tanks were the perfect companion. An extra dose of masculinity was added to the collection with the use of fold over open-split waist bands that point to the atmosphere of a body shop, or the surfer and his wetsuit, while the oldest sense of masculinity was on display in the form of tasseled stiff jacket shoulders. This macho, but style conscious image is juxtaposed with the straight-laced tie wearing modern man for an ultra-chic look.
