For their fall collection, Japanese label Sacai tries to deliver on this season’s concept the “New Standard”. Capturing the trends that are current in menswear such as the dynamic shorts and leggings pairing, the garments are addressed as basic staples, dressing them in a variety of solid colors. Although the collection has its fair share of gray and black, designer Abe Titose’s use of pale colors is refreshing when compared to this season’s overall bleak color palette. Sacai may not offer a piece we have yet to see, but the pieces they do are successful in grounding trends and making them accessible, remaining current without falling victim to a flighty fashion moment.

  1. The trend has been around for a while and I’ve been planning to style them in my mind..can’t believe Sacai has beaten me to that! Anyway it’s true that the look is accessible and wearable as well.
