Sam Smith x Calvin Klein Collection-British export, singer Sam Smith recently kicked off his sold-out North American tour with a stop in New York last night at the United Palace Theatre. Throughout the tour, Smith will be wearing custom Calvin Klein Collection pieces designed by men’s creative director Italo Zucchelli. Smith’s band will also be outfitted by Calvin Klein Collection. Talking about using Calvin Klein Collection for his tour, Smith explains, “I come from a big family and whatever I do, in terms of my career, I try to form beautiful relationships with people based on passion for each other’s work and trust. Calvin Klein helped me so much over the past few months, so it was an organic thing to do. I also just love the fit and the materials they use.” Meanwhile, Zucchelli shares, “I like to work with artists like Sam who are really talented and very new. When Sam performs, it’s really just about his voice, which is pure, classic and strong, and I wanted to relay that in my designs. The suits that I designed for his tour are clean, smart and pared down.”
