A.Sauvage Spring/Summer 2014–A.Sauvage enlists model Jos Whiteman to front his spring/summer 2014 lookbook. The designer looks to his own family history for the inspiration of his latest collection. Honoring his great-grandfather who travelled from western Nigeria to the British isles in 1851, Sauvage looks to the duality of cultures, blending a British sensibility with images of Africa inspired by the work of German artist Nelson Crespo. Creating a wardrobe that tackles the formality of eveningwear with the ease of daywear, Sauvage interjects signature touches into the collection with his first in-house tartan joined by a great basket-weave cotton and a micro-pin cord.
