Shawn Mendes, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter who previously graced David Yurman’s spring 2023 campaign, has once again claimed center stage for the brand’s summer advertisement. This time, Mendes brings a tantalizing touch to David Yurman’s intriguing Amulets collection. Captured by Glen Luchford’s expert lens, the Canadian pop sensation heads to the beach with wet hair tossed by the sea breeze, setting the stage for a captivating showcase.

Shawn Mendes x David Yurman
This season, Shawn Mendes partners with David Yurman on a limited-edition Woven Hemp Bracelet, with 20% of the purchase price benefitting his charity, The Shawn Mendes Foundation (SMF). Mendes’ partnership with the brand aligns with the mission of SMF. Mendes shared, “The Shawn Mendes Foundation’s mission is to help recognize and amplify talented young changemakers.”
“We started SMF in 2019 to support young activists with resources and education. I’m incredibly passionate about the work we’re doing, and I’m excited to continue supporting and sharing the stories of these incredible young people through this partnership,” Mendes explains.
Mendes’ enthusiasm marks the design process of the Woven Hemp Bracelet for sustainability. The bracelet was created from materials derived from the stalks of Cannabis Sativa, a carbon-negative plant requiring little water and no synthetic fertilizer. “I think one of the things we, as individuals, can do to support sustainability efforts is do our best to pay attention to where things are sourced,” Mendes stated.
Through the lens of these summer ads and the sustainable bracelet initiative, Mendes and David Yurman are setting a remarkable example of how fashion and philanthropy can unite, transforming the wearer and the world.
