Farfetch Men’s Style Edit: Stella McCartney Fall 2017

A recent addition to the menswear market, Stella McCartney is one of the hot labels to watch. Therefore, Farfetch catches up with the brand’s namesake designer for its latest feature. Farfetch also enlists the help of photographer Camilla Armbrust and stylist Sally Bottomley for a shoot. The pair links up with model Sang Woo Kim to showcase covetable fashions from McCartney’s fall-winter 2017 collection.

McCartney talks to Farfetch about designing for men. She explains, “I definitely have to step out of my comfort zone. With menswear, I get to play and enjoy the challenge of the unknown. I studied after school on Savile Row, so tailoring is in the DNA of the brand. I have such admiration for the craft of Savile Row, I think it’s like architecture.”

The English designer continues, “We are still developing the language for our Stella man, but this season we wanted to refresh his wardrobe with a nod to the classics. The tailoring has more of a voice but isn’t shouting out loud. He is confident and secure in his self-awareness and not apologetic to have bold moments and bursts of fun while having a gentler and more traditional side with his roots in music and British tailoring.” Read more on Farfetch.com.
