Quaint Sensiblity–Quietly shaping up to be an aspiring force of New York Fashion Week, designer Siki Im creates another inspiring collection. Considering a New Mexico sanctuary where artist Georgia O’Keeffe lived, Im crafted a dark romance of a story, draping pieces for a religious quality. Experimenting with shapes this season, the collection began with graphic shirts and long airy trains. Showing contrast against relaxed pieces, Im’s tailored jackets provided for a nice yin and yang element. Meanwhile, a poetic white turned to black as a harder edge broke forth with buttery soft leathers and a sense of urban accessibility. From trousers and hooded tops to draped robes, Im finalized an eye for function and sartorial fun.
