Six Lee presents its fall-winter 2015 menswear collection with a lookbook featuring model Jonathan Bauer Hayden, shot by photographer Zeb Daemen. The new collection takes a sharp, modern turn as a variety of soft and somber colors come together. Seamlessly blending silhouettes, narrow proportions open themselves up to wide silhouettes, which feature flared trousers. / Grooming by Vera Dierckx.

“With the inspiration from a collection of oddly shaped ceramics lines the front windowsill of the space. Esther Stewart’s paintings combine geometric shapes with dreamy color palettes that straddle a perfect line between vintage and modern. Graphical interpretation in a very sensitive way, such as different colours and texture panels of wool were playing the main role of this collection. Dreamy pastel colours with grey shades were digging from Martin and Stewart’s works, to show the sensitivity of the mixture of colors. Shaved faux fur with pattern was inspired from Stewart’s geometric shape. Shinny, stiff, coated & bonded wool cashmere were chosen to give a sense of luxury in the collection and widely used in every single piece of this collection. The collection itself was mainly focused on showing a perfect line between classical and futuristic, vintage and modern, reality and fantasy, meaningful and meaningless, perfection and imperfection, soft and stiff. The oversized shapes on Frock Coats, Bomber Jackets and Oversized Jackets were inspired from the vintage elements of a 80s French Womenswear brand Claude Montana.

Fall Winter 2015 collection was all about classical tailoring tradition and hidden details such as under collar, pockets, plackets and under each slits. Each piece reserved typical SixLee characteristics ‘elegantly tailored silhouettes in rich materials’. It’s worth checking out the individual meaning of each piece in the collection for surprises.”
