Yohji Yamamoto’s Coming Soon is quickly coming into its own. Despite borrowing Yamamoto’s signature loosely slung silhouette, the label forges ahead with garments that are decisively more urban and appropriate for everyday wear. When color is found amongst the safer choices, it is not shockingly bright, but welcoming. Dressed in modest earth tones and purple pigments, simple tops, jackets and trousers form the basis of Coming Soon’s spring collection. Embracing a Bohemian vibe, the range is less about drawing attention and more about feeling comfortable in your own skin.
