The latest collection from Sweden-based designer Julia Hederus was inspired by baseball and the rediscovering of old clothes. Imagined on a young baseball player living in Del Ray, California during 1989, the collection offers garments that were at once worn with great love, but then forgotten. Because of this, there are little details off with the oversized range. Some fabrics are faded, while others have lost their color. Meanwhile, hoods are absent from elongated black sweatshirts and raincoats are missing buttons. The collection is quirky, but the contributing elements are subtle, wisely making the range quite accessible. Hederus picks up where her last collection left off and crafts a sporty look that is all her own. From simple tops to sequin adorned shorts, Hederus masters restraint, arriving at the perfect proportions.
