When it comes to Patrik Ervell, change is subtle and can at times lack momentum. However, Ervell’s designs inherit a distinct point of view that is consistent and charming enough to keep his customers coming back for more. Embracing a timeless version of what can be described as Americana, Ervell remains dedicated to a simple slim silhouette. How the label evolves is connected to how Ervell dresses his silhouette each season. Often turning to new fabric processes, this season is no different. Thinking of a way to express the current climate of America, Ervell turned to the idea of decay. Staining fabrics with cooper and rust, a print came to be that is oddly quite decadent. Grounded by humble colors, Ervell’s gamble with decay plays like gold glistening in the sun. What is meant to represent demise breathes fresh life into a collection that is nostalgic in regards to its own history, all while remaining current.
