Sneakers From Space-In 1969, Neil Armstrong took ‘one small step for man,’ but in 2014 it’s General Electric that have made ‘one giant leap’ into designer footwear. Fashionista reports that the company has teamed up with Android Homme to produce a limited-edition shoe inspired by the original moon-boot that General Electric designed for the Apollo 11 astronauts. Tastefully updated for a modern wardrobe, but retaining something of the spirit of the space program, these space-age kicks will be snapped up quick. It looks like Harper’s Bazaar may be on to something.
