Tailored Self–Renowned British tailor Timothy Everest teamed up with iconic British brand Superdry to present this first trans-seasonal collection named “Sebiro” during the London Collections: Men. Designed as a separate range to mix and match with Superdry’s existing casual pieces, this capsule collection featured mainly tailoring and overcoats made with fine cloths in super-skinny cuts, while maintaining the attention to details that is synonymous with Timothy Everest’s own line.
The collection is divided into four key “characters”: “The Super Spy” has a sleek silhouette with an evening feel. “The Bank Robber” has a more city look with double-breasted jacket and peak lapels. “The San Francisan” is a little more eccentric and casual with a contrast felt under collar, quilted shoulder patches and stitched edge path pockets. “The Country Rebel” in Forest Slub and Dark Grey Fishbone has a more heritage and country feel.
The use of clever branding sees the Superdry signature orange colour used on the pocket welts hidden under pocket flaps as well as the hand stitching on under collar. It is interesting to note that the outfits featured on the models in the live presentation were actually put together by the model themselves, mixing this tailored collection with pieces already found in the Superdry flagship store where this presentation took place – a key to illustrate the versatility of this collaboration. An unusual partnership that resulted in a resounding success. / Words by Kenny Ho, Fashionisto London Fashion Editor.
