Men’s leather jackets have come a long way since their inception. They are available in a variety of lengths and weights. This fact makes leather jackets suitable for all seasons. Black and brown are the two most common colors for leather jackets. The attraction of the leather jacket is the universality because however you wear it, you are still on trend.

Leather Jacket Culture

Many styles and subcultures prefer men’s leather jackets. Subcultures that come to mind include punk, goth, and cowboy style. However, leather jackets are more than just a fashion statement. People use them for safety as well. Motorcycle riders often wear protective leather jackets to shield themselves from any injuries during an accident or fall.

Military Leather Jackets

Many tend to associate men’s leather jackets with a rebellious attitude.  This idea is in part to the leather jacket’s original connection with military soldiers during World War II. Soldiers wore leather jackets or “bomber jackets” for extreme temperatures on the battlefields. Still, leather jackets are today’s symbol of “coolness”.
